Someone got ahold of her Cashapp login and spent all of her money. She has changed her password and requested a refund, but she is back to $0/$300 raised for her repairs. Some people have been interested in how this was made - I am extremely bad at explaining but I’ll try to give a quick rundown!
First I draw the individual parts in a 2d art program, in this case procreate. I put an overlay texture that gives it some grittiness. As you can see I separated out the parts I planned to move a little bit, like the top and bottom jaw, eyes, wings, and body segments.
Each part of the texture is applied to a 2d plane through uv maps with the exception of the halo, which is 3d modeled.
The 2d planes are layered in a way that will create shadow when a light is added and avoid overlaps when rendered. This also really lends to the papercut aspect!
Animation for this particular piece is done through something called “shape keys” where blender will interpolate movement based on me slightly moving the individual parts.
I created several keys for different areas of motion. When all are combined it creates a nice effect. Some parts move smoother than others - this is due to me setting some keys to be “constant” instead of “bezier smoothed”.
(Oh also the halo is just rotated on an axis - 3d go brrrrr)
After rendering all the frames into a gif, I then threw it into a video editor to make the colors more contrasted and to add slight glitching and behold! Final product!
Hopefully that helps out some for people who want to try it. Or for people who are just curious!

My partner and I are homeless trans women living in a squatter town in the desert called Slab City!
In Slab City there are no utilities, that means no electrical company, no gas company, and definitely no water company! Everyone has to provide their own for their own camp.
We have two 355 gallon tanks that we use for our camp and let our neighbors fill jugs from. It costs $40 each to hire someone to fill our tanks with drinking water and it drains from use in little over a week.
Right now we’re nearing the bottom of the tank and we need your help to fill it back up!

Has anyone on tumblr talked about the deadly homophobic attack on O’Shae Sibley, a Black gay man, for the crime of dancing in public yet? Homophobic and transphobic attacks, often with a racist character, are on the rise. We shouldn’t ignore this.
On Saturday night at a gas station in Brooklyn, N.Y., a group of friends were dancing to a Beyoncé song when another group of men, who witnesses say used homophobic slurs, told them to stop. Surveillance footage shows one of the friends, O'Shae Sibley, a 28-year-old gay man who was a professional dancer, confronting the men. An argument began. Within minutes, police say, one of the men stabbed Sibley.
New York Police are investigating the fatal stabbing as a potential hate crime; Mayor Eric Adams referred to the incident as one on Monday.
Otis Pena, a close friend of Sibley’s, says he tried to stop the bleeding by pressing on the wound but Sibley was pronounced dead after being taken to Maimonides Medical Center. “They murdered him because he was gay, because he stood up for his friends,” Pena said in a video posted to Facebook hours after the stabbing.
LGBTQ advocates highlighted that the fatal stabbing comes amid a string of violent incidents. “O’Shae Sibley’s shocking murder follows a disturbing rise in violence and harassment against LGBTQ people across the U.S. This cannot continue. No one should have to fear for their safety just for being themselves,” said GLAAD director of local news Darian Aaron. “O’Shae Sibley had the audacity to live without the restraints of patriarchy and toxic masculinity, embracing freedom and joy. He should still be alive to celebrate all that made him great and inspired others to live their truth.”
